In the process concerning the shape of the cutlery, we worked a lot with hand sketches and simple
mock-ups of cardboard and plastic, to be able to test them out right away. Later in the process we used Catia and rapid prototyping to obtain more accurate test models.

Y2 is logistic-friendly in the sense that it can be stacked and reduces the usage of plastic compared to standard disposable cutlery. The cutlery has been designed so it can be produced by injection molding, which is the most optimal production method for this kind of product in terms of price, quality and high quantity.

Y2 has an added value through the possibility to hang it on the edge of a plate, thus simplifying the user situation further.
